Salford Priors Branch Royal British Legion
Apart from a short break in the 1940’s there has been an active Branch of the British Legion in Salford Priors since 1926. The main activity of the Branch throughout this time has been to raise money for the poppy appeal.
The activities of the Branch are designed to bring to the notice of the people of Salford Priors the continuing and vital work of the Royal British Legion in giving support to ex-servicemen and service-women who have suffered injury and/or hardship as a result of their service to the Armed Forces.
The Branch expresses this support by bringing these issues to notice in a social context through Coffee Mornings, Displays at the Village Fete, Away Days, and of course, the Poppy Appeal.
