1st. Salford Priors Scout Group was founded in 1970.  The group has its own headquarters on a small site on the edge of the parish playing field in the centre of Salford Priors.  Scouting provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people.  Scouting is active in 216 countries and territories with a global membership of over 28 million.  By becoming a scout you are joining a big international family.

All children, boys and girls, are able to take part.  Beavers cater for the age range six to eight.  Cubs cater for eight year olds to ten and a half and Scouts for ten and a half to fourteen.  Children over fourteen years old move on to Explorers (14 – 18) and then to Network (19 – 25)
